belated turkey day

again with the being overly busy... here is my Turkey Day weekend summary.

Friday night I hung out with Michelle, Steve, Judy, Connie and Kelly. We watched X-men and ate Steve's homemade baked spinach dip. Hmmm yummers.

Saturday morning saw Judy and myself loading her car and heading over to Canandian Tire to buy paint and other supplies to paint Dom's office. After a stop at Starbucks we were joined by Connie and Steve at the office and work got underway. Twelve hours later we were done with the transformation. Don't worry we took plenty of breaks... I even put in an hour at the gym. See the post below for photos of the transformation.

Sunday, I went to Elevation and then came home to do some cleaning. The day was beautiful so Michelle and I went exploring in our neighbourhood. We took a bunch of photos which you can see a few posts below. We arrived back at the apartment just after my parents and Tean arrived from out of the city. We spent the night making preperations for Thanksgiving, watching tv and enjoying each other's company.

Monday morning we were up bright and early for the Oktoberfest parade. What beautiful weather! It was a long parade and a bit boring but it's really cool to see all these people on the streets and feel like you're apart of something bigger then the box we've made of our every days lives. After the parade it was down to business preparing Turkey dinner. It turned out awesome. The food was fantastic... and so was the family time!

The parade was full of Marching bands from all over the world... they MAKE the parade

This is a cool shoot of these old red cars

I love this shoot. Look at the trumpet, you can see the crowd in it.

Michelle took this photo of me watching the parade

In all her glory: Turkey Dinner!!

and pumkin cheese cake for dessert! yum!
