playing catchup

Alrighty, it looks as though I have about a month's worth of entries to catch up on. Let's go back to 4 weeks ago.

The week of July 25th - 31st
The week started out really well. My dad came up to the city on Monday so we had dinner together with my sister. That's always really enjoyable. Amanda, my roommate, had a bunch of her guy friends here on Monday and Tuesday. That was fun 'cuz we don't see many boys around here. The rest of the week was spent working on a freelance project for SU Sportz and completing the Embassy alumni newsletter. I'm getting paid for the SU Sportz project so that definitely rocks. My average bedtime for the week was 2am so by friday I was totally exhausted. Saturday morning I played tennis with a few friends. In the afternoon I went to the bus terminal to meet my friend Melisa, who was coming up from Toronto. I showed her around both downtown Kitchener and uptown Waterloo. We went to A Whole Lotta Gelatto. It's such a great place! We also hit up a few stores and the Symposium. After dinner we met up with one of her friends and watched Phantom of the Opera. Around midnight we headed over to my sister's place to hang out for a bit and then we caught a cab home. Sunday morning I got up early and made us a big breakfast... yum! We headed to Elevation and then went for lunch at Kelsey's with Steve and Justin. From there Melisa connect with another friend so that was the end of her visit.

The week of August 1 - 7
Monday was nice and relaxing. I chilled for most of the day and only spent about 2hrs on the SU Sportz freelance project. On Tuesday I went to a gals prayer meeting at Nadine and Michelle's. It was pretty cool. The rest of the week I spent most of my evenings working on the freelance project. I got a little more sleep this week with about 6-7 hrs a night. Dwayne and Louise got married on Saturday. It was a great wedding and lots of fun.

The week of August 8 - 14
It was a pretty hectic week. I worked on freelance stuff Monday night until 1am, Tues 'til 1am and Wed. 'til 4am. Thursday right after work I picked up my new glasses (they're wicked) and then I headed to the bus terminal and took Greyhound to Toronto where I met Chris and Bec. We drove to Pickering and went out for dinner at The Outback. I slept over at their place and in the morning we went grocery shopping and then headed up to the Fortin cottage. It was so beautiful. I even had the opportunity to go tubing and canoeing for the first time ever! I had a fabulous time!

The week of August 15 - 21
This week was finally supposed to slow down. I had the major SU Sportz project done so I figured I'd have some evenings free to plan some social outtings but that's not how it turned out. On Tuesday I had a bit of a meltdown at work. It sucked but at least it got some things out in the open. On Tuesday morning I also found out that the Embassy needed an ad created and submitted for Friday. Since I already had so much to do during the day I ended up putting in 18 overtime hours between Tuesday and Thursday night. Oh boy. This will never happen again! Friday and Saturday night I hung out with friends and for the rest of the majority of the weekend I totally chilled out.

Well that's about it.
Not so interesting but it definitely flew by quick.

busy busy busy

Sorry I haven't written in so long. This one's going to be short. I just wanted to let you know that I am still alive. I've been incredibly busy the past few weeks with overtime and freelance projects. I've been averaging 5.5 hrs of sleep a night for the past 2 and a half weeks. I'm heading up to a cottage for the weekend so hopefully that'll give me some time to finally relax.

That's all for now.
Night folks!
