My trip to LAS VEGAS - Part 2

Alright, here's another addition to my Vegas trip. Unfortunately, I've been super busy so it's been awhile in coming.

PART 2

After a super relaxing day at Mandalay Bay we stuffed ourselves at the Spice Market Buffet at the Aladdin. Afterwards we took in the sights on the strip. The light show infront of the Bellagio was my favourite.

Wednesday morning I started the day out early by heading to the fitness and spa facilities. I enjoyed a good workout and took advantage of the whirlpool and steam room. What a stark contrast between the chaos of the hotel and casino and the spa area. It was like stepping into a different world. Wednesday afternoon was filled with wedding shtuff as we celebrated with the married couple. The ceremony was held in one of the chapels at Mandalay Bay. Followed by a fantastic italian dinner at Regale Italian Eatery in the Excalibur. Between the ceremony and dinner my new friend Anne and I hung out at the slots for an hour or so chatting it up and getting free beverages :) I lost a whole 3 dollars. [shocker]. To finish off the day we went to the Ghostbar on the 55th floor of the Palms. What a wicked place! On our way back to the hotel we stopped off at Casa Margarita for drinks and/or food. Thanks Tania and Marc for planning such a great day!

A portion of the Paris Hotel. (I love the flare on this photo)

This is me in front of the Excalibur... it looks even cheesier during the day.

Waiting with Ann at the chapel.

The happy couple at the Wedding Dinner.

The awesome view from the Ghostdeck at the Ghostbar (I'd pay to see again)

Part 3 will be coming soon! (the best yet!)

My trip to LAS VEGAS - Part 1

It's been over two weeks since I arrived home from my vacation. I've been incredibly busy since... still am but at least now I feel like I'm in control of it. In my last entry I promised a vacation entry and photos. So here goes...

PART 1
It took along time for me to decide whether I should go on this trip or not. Vegas wasn't exactly on my "list". But I really did want to support and celebrate with my friend who was getting hitched on the trip. Basically, I got a good tax return and decided that I'd might as well go. (yeah!)
So my vacation started with a trip to Buffalo Airport. We were told to expect a two hour delay at the border. Yeah, that was an overestimation... 2 cars= 2 hours more like 5 minutes. So things started out pretty boring. There is absolutely nothing to do at the Buffalo airport!
We landed in Las Vegas during the late afternoon (best landing ever!... seriously, that was the least amount of pain I've ever had on descent). The first night in Vegas was a whirlwind of meeting new people, dressing up, taking photos, and partying it up with the girls.
The first morning rolled around to a massive buffet at the Luxor. Mmm, I think I was there for 2 hours. The afternoon was spent at the "beach" of Mandalay Bay. Gorgeous! and so hot! I received some tutoring on body surfing... I still need lots of work but it was a lot of fun.
