the past month

The past month has been a lot busier then expected.
I'm still trying to finish up a few freelance projects. I had a dinner fundraiser to plan and execute. Add to that doctor's appointments, friend's birthdays, me and my twin's birthdays, a new season of LOST, planning for the next few months, social outings, oh and facebook and blogging and you've got my February all locked up.

Yep, I did say blogging which doesn't make sense if you're just looking at this site. I also have another blog www.cynthiagoestoafrica.blogspot.com. Please check it out and while you're there please think about supporting me. :)

ok, so my health again

I really do have other more interesting things happening in my life.
I promise to get to them soon. :) but for now here's another Health update

So my appointment on Friday went well. My Endocrinologist has started me on medication. I am to go for blood work and then back to see her in 4 weeks to see if the drug is working as expected. I've finally been scheduled for an MRI. They're booking into June BUT I got booked into a cancellation on March 16 at 3:10 p.m. Praise God! It is hoped that the MRI is consistant with the assumed diagnosis of a small and benign tumor.

BEST CASE: If the drug is working as expected and the MRI confirms a small tumor then I'm on track for leaving for Africa. I will have to continue to take medication and have tests done every six months to monitor the tumor. I believe I will need to fly back to Ontario for these tests to be done unless I can work something out with a doctor in your parts.

WORST CASE: If the drug does not take then I have been asked to post-pone my trip in order to try another treatment. If the MRI shows the tumor to be larger then expected then we will have to consider surgery.
